Vinous Neal Martin - 01 Dec 20
The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Lavrottes 1er Cru has a perfumed nose of red cherries, bergamot and light loamy aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, and slightly bitter with a touch of greenness on the finish (a trait that I found on the Les Nazoires).

Chambolle-Musigny

Chambolle-Musigny, a prestigious appellation in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits, is renowned for its elegant, aromatic Pinot Noir wines. Known for their finesse and complex aromas of red berries, violets, and earth, these wines are often described as the most "feminine" of Burgundy. The appellation's two Grand Cru vineyards, Bonnes Mares and Musigny, produce highly sought-after wines with depth and ageing potential. Notable producers include Domaine Comte Georges de Vogüé, Domaine Georges Roumier, and Domaine Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier, all celebrated for their refined winemaking.
